WebThis was a common issue, unfortunately. The repair is posted below in the link as GM has released a bulletin on this issue here. There are two ways to do this. Pull hard on the seatbelt to release it like described below or cut the belt and replace the belt, unfortunately. These are the only fixes GM has for this issue here.
