I have scrupulously followed the directions, thoroughly cleaned both the metal button and the windshield plastic, applied with the temperature above 50F and below 80F, allowed the glue to cure for 48 hours before attaching the mirror and still it falls off. WebYou don't glue the whole mirror back on. There's a little tab that you glue on. It's either plastic or metal and that will determine which glue you use. You have to let that set for a day then you slide or screw the mirror on to it. 3M and Permatex are good brands and they have a range of options as far as price. WebIf a small piece came off with your mirror, it was likely cracked already. The windshield protects you from flying debris when you drive, and provides a bit of support and protection in a collision or rollover. If it was cracked, its safety was already compromised, and likely the broken glass pieces would have been another hazard.
