You can also put a socket on the engine crank bolt and rotate the engine a little back and forth to try and free up the starter gear if it's jammed. Good luck.... My bendix disengages before the engine fires. I would say that maybe 5-10 seconds and the bendix disengages everysingle time. No chance for the engine to fire.
